After achieving a large following of clients and gaining a vast amount of experience at two other Brookings real estate offices, Marianne Padilla opened RE/MAX Coast and Country in Harbor with two other partners. RE/MAX Coast and Country has developed into a top producing office in real estate sales in the Brookings-Harbor area in a short period of time. The office recently moved to a larger space in the English Village Mall to accommodate this growth.

Marianne has always, always found real estate exciting. An experienced investor herself, Marianne is a member of an investment network based out of Southern California that has over 80,000 members. Many of these members are looking to buy property in Brookings to either retire here eventually or to obtain and hold as an investment. She is experienced with 1031 exchanges and reverse exchanges.

Marianne lived much of her life in Los Angeles, California. She has a background in business, owning her own printing company for ten years prior to moving to Brookings, Oregon. Marianne loves living in Brookings. She enjoys the pristine beauty of the area, especially the interplay between the coast, forest, and lily fields. She also loves the small town friendliness, sense of community, and great weather.

Marianne has been active in development in the Brookings-Harbor area. She is partners with a builder/developer and together they have created large building projects including a new condominium complex. Further housing developments in the Harbor Hills are in the planning stage. Marianne is active in planning meetings with the city, county, and Oregon Department of Transportation.

Marianne has many personal passions. She loves traveling and meeting people from other cultures. She has been to Europe several times as well as Jamaica. She finds all of the cultural differences fascinating, and enjoys exploring all of the wonderful foods, wine, and local goods.

Marianne's greatest passion, however, is helping others. When you meet Marianne, you will instantly know what a caring individual she is. She is a mother to five foster children, and was able to adopt two of these special children has her own.  When she isn't at work, her life centers on her children who are now both 11 years old. Marianne has a young spirit and a great sense of humor.

Marianne's ultimate goal is to work in Africa to help the people in need.  Marianne is very concerned about the atrocities happening in Sudan, including the political turmoil that results in the starvation and maiming of the citizens there. She is also concerned with the thousands of children living in the streets because their parents have died from AIDS. Her goal is to open orphanages for these children. She also has dreams of opening information centers in an attempt to slow the spread of this terrible disease. She hopes her real estate career will enable these goals to become reality.
